The everyday traveler. Hand-tanned saddle leather met with indigo selvedge denim — lighter in the hand than the Dhruv, built on the same disciplined frame.

Materials & sourcing

Hand-tanned full-grain leather from Kanpur. 14oz indigo selvedge denim from Ahmedabad. Solid brass hardware, antique-finished in Moradabad. Striped cotton lining for the interior.

Care & repair

Wax twice a year with the PARS leather balm — the saddle finish deepens with each application. Wipe the indigo denim with a dry cloth; never machine wash. Avoid prolonged contact with rain; if caught, dry flat away from direct heat. Send the piece back to the atelier when it's tired — we re-stitch any seam for life.

Material 01 · The Craft

A single panel of full-grain hide.

The Yatri is built on the same disciplined frame as the Dhruv, but smaller and lighter in the hand. The body is hand-tanned saddle leather from Kanpur. The trim is 14oz indigo selvedge denim woven in Ahmedabad. Hardware is solid brass, antique-finished by hand in Moradabad.

Where the Dhruv carries the compass, the Yatri carries a single rivet — a quieter mark for the daily carry. Stitched in waxed cotton thread, finished to outlast the everyday it's made for.

Step 01 · Cut

One panel.

Hide stretched, inspected, and cut from a single continuous panel — never spliced across load-bearing surfaces.

Step 02 · Stitch

Waxed double-row.

Hand-guided industrial machines stitch every seam in waxed cotton thread. Load-bearing seams are reinforced twice.

Step 03 · Finish

Edge-painted, numbered.

Edges hand-painted in burnt umber. Compass emblem hot-stamped. Inside seam signed with a serial that ties to the maker.
